Let’s be honest. You can get “Mexican” food almost anywhere these days. But there is a reason food critics and judges selected Eddy’s Cantina as having one of the best dishes in the world.
It’s not because we are fancy. It’s because we are obsessed. Obsessed with quality, obsessed with taste, obsessed with real local ingredients.
Most restaurants in Taipei treat Enchiladas like an afterthought. They take a Costco frozen tortilla, stuff it with old meat, and drown it in canned tomato paste or even Ketchup to hide the lack of flavor.
We do the exact opposite.
The “Top 500” Enchilada Protocol:
1. The Sauce is the Secret We use fresh local ingredients, like chilies, garlic, and spices to create a rich, simple Enchilada sauce that has depth, a little heat, and a lot of soul. This is the flavor that won the award.
2. The 8-Hour Meat We stuff them with our legendary slow-roasted pork (Carnitas) that have been cooking since 8:00 AM or try our amazing Rib-eye, Chef Eddy’s answer to a steak dinner.
3. Baked to Perfection We smother them in real cheese (not canned plastic cheese) and bake them until they are bubbling, golden, and irresistible.
Convenience is the enemy of flavor. We are located in Tianmu, and we know that’s a trip for some of you. But when you take that first bite of an award-winning Enchilada, you will understand exactly why we it’s worth the trip to little America to get the full Western feeling.

In Mexico you are hard pressed to find a taco stand that doesn’t have Horchata, a Mexican Rice water drink. We like to make our own here at Eddy’s using rice water, vanilla, milk, sugar and cinnamon. Try it, its the equivalent of Mexico’s version of Milk Tea, without the tea!
