TACO RESTAURANT TAIPEI

STOP EATING SAD TACOS.

Tired of cold, store-bought tortillas and dry meat? Experience the difference of Handmade Tortillas pressed fresh every single morning.

Dear Taco Lover,

We need to talk about the “Taco Situation” in Taipei. You know what I’m talking about. You crave a taco. You go to a “Mexican” spot. And what do you get? A cold, rubbery tortilla that came out of a plastic bag. Dry meat that tastes like leftovers. And maybe—if you’re unlucky—some tabasco or even sweet mayo on top. It’s heartbreaking.

A Taco is only as good as its Tortilla. At Eddy’s Cantina, we refuse to cut corners. We wake up early to grind the corn masa and of course we make the flour tortillas as well.  We press every single Corn and Flour Tortilla by hand, the difference is astronomical. When that warm, fragrant tortilla hits the grill and wraps around our slow-cooked Carnitas… it changes everything.

Don’t settle for “Good Enough.” Come taste what a real taco is supposed to be.

– Chef Eddy

Too often, you get dry meat, bland salsa, or ‘localized’ flavors that are missing something.

Your friend asks you if you’ve tried that “new taco place” yet.  Then you plan it out and trave across town to meet your friend and when you order, the “Taco Restaurant” opens up a bag of Old el paso taco shells or a bag of frozen flout tortillas from costso and you know you made a mistake.

Chef eddy’s family is from Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico!

At Eddy’s Cantina, we respect the taco. It starts with the fillings: Our Carnitas (slow-roasted pork) is cooked for hours until it falls apart, just like Eddy’s Mexican MAMA makes it.
Our Fish Tacos have been said to be as good as any on the planet, starting off with house made flour tortillas, ground corn tortillas or even in house made taco shells!

No Shortcuts on the Tortillas, Salsas, Hot Sauces or Marinades.

We don’t take shortcuts. Our salsas are chopped fresh daily in our kitchen, not jarred or canned.

Our chips are fresh fried to order, we grind the corn for our tortillas.  We get local Ghost Peppers and Habaneros from local Taiwan farms.

Whether you like them spicy, savory, or fresh, these are the tacos you have been craving. Worth the trip to Tianmu? Absolutely!

Taco Tuesday’s hit better at Eddy’s Cantina!
